Schedule Appointment What to ExpectHello! My name is Alex Ruz, and I am a Licensed Master Social Worker providing therapy for children and adolescents. I have experience working with children in non-profit organizations and in the Charleston County School District, and this population holds a very special place in my heart. For the last 3 years, I have been providing therapeutic services for children and their families utilizing a trauma-focused lens. I believe that surface-level emotions and behaviors stem from an even deeper issue that might be too difficult to face alone, and that is where I would like to help. Whether you're taking your first steps toward healing or continuing your journey, I will meet you where you are. I specialize in approaches such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and will utilize Dialetical Behavior Therapy skills to address the root of the problem and provide coping skills to assist with managing symptoms of depression, anxiety, and anger.

Hi, I’m Alexandra Herrmann and my goal as a therapist is to provide a supportive space for you to share and process your most pressing struggles, emotions, thoughts, and worries. I am here to not only hear your story, but to also equip you with tools so that you may develop greater insight and coping skills to help you better connect to the present moment and explore the next steps of your life. I believe in building connections with clients so that we may collaborate in our work together. I also encourage clients to provide me with continuous feedback so that I may know what is most effective in your treatment.
I work with adolescents and adults (ages 15 and above) in learning to manage their symptoms of grief, trauma, depression, anxiety, OCD, and ADHD. I help clients build intentional behaviors and thought patterns so they can live more effectively by integrating various approaches such as ERP, EMDR, person-centered counseling, mindfulness, expressive arts, DBT, and CBT.
I am passionate about learning, raising awareness, and reducing stigma around mental health. I believe every person is full of potential and capable of self-growth, even when faced with the most challenging mental health struggles. As Jon Kabat-Zinn said, “You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn to surf.” Join me in learning to surf the waves.

Hi, I’m Amanda! I’m glad you’re here and thinking of connecting. I believe meaningful, authentic connection is the foundation of effective therapy. Our work together is centered on you—your experiences, challenges, and strengths— creating a collaborative space where you feel heard and supported.
I work with couples, teens, and adults navigating life transitions, relationship stress, or feeling overwhelmed by depression or anxiety. My approach is client-centered and strengths based, grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own story and daily life. I draw from cognitive and dialectical therapies, along with mindfulness practices, to tailor treatment to your unique needs and goals.
I believe that every client can explore what’s been getting in the way, develop practical tools, and build resilience so you can feel more in control of your life. In a compassionate, no-judgment environment, we’ll focus on strengthening resilience, emotional and cognitive wellness, and your ability to tackle change with clarity and confidence.
Outside of work, you’ll often find me practicing yoga, swimming in the ocean, chasing my dog Leo down the beach, or catching a concert with my husband.

Hi, I’m Barry Robinson, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 18 years of experience helping individuals and families navigate life’s most complex emotional and social challenges. I bring a deep commitment to creating an authentic, supportive space where clients feel understood, empowered, and equipped to heal and grow. My approach is shaped by years of working in nonprofit organizations, hospitals, and inpatient psychiatric facilities across more than seven states. This diverse experience has allowed me to effectively support people facing a wide range of issues—including social anxiety, grief, substance use, senior behavioral health, personality disorders, and the stigma and trauma often experienced by members of the LGBTQIA+ community or individuals diagnosed with HIV/AIDS. Whether providing individual, family, or group therapy, I integrate evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, culturally sensitive practices, and solution-focused strategies. I also bring a strong background in crisis intervention, case management, and educational counseling to support clients in moments of acute need. Above all, I believe in meeting people where they are—with compassion, critical insight, and a belief in their capacity for resilience and change.

My name is Brandon Berg (he/him), and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) wth a Master’s in Counseling from Wake Forest University. I completed my practicum and internship at Daymark Recovery Services, working in both outpatient and inpatient (facility-based crisis) settings, where I provided individual and group counseling for Anger Management, Teen Issues, Substance Abuse Recovery, Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Grief and Loss, Relationships, and Gender/Sexual Orientation, to name a few. I also led creative groups that used music to help people tell their stories and define what it means to be a person.
Before counseling, I spent 15 years in 1:1 music instruction—an experience that naturally led me to this field. Both disciplines center on building trust, understanding individual needs, and supporting meaningful personal growth. My most worthwhile experiences as a teacher involved mentoring children, teens, and young adults looking for purpose or direction. Operating as a senior instructor, I was often placed with students who—for one reason or another—required an extra level of care, consideration, and a customized learning experience. As it turns out, many of these students represented various colors of neurodiversity, and I discovered a kinship with them, leading me to pursue both Autism and ADHD diagnoses for myself.
This being said, I am particularly interested in working with adult and young adult clients who are—or suspect they are—"neurodivergent." Using this term to describe myself, I try to walk the fine line of using this label while challenging the implications and misunderstandings that come with it. Regardless, I have found that there remains a significant gap in support for these sensitive individuals who move through the world unrecognized because they “don’t look autistic” to others, while harboring a profound belief that they are indeed different. Many in this population face ongoing challenges navigating a world not designed for them, which can manifest as a persistent sense of brokenness rooted in misunderstanding. The truth is that, much like trees in a forest, everyone serves an important role in their community. That is, to hold up and be held up by others, and this can only be accomplished when we see ourselves as worthy of both.
I think it is important to acknowledge that I am a straight, cisgendered, white male, and that any one of these facets of my identity alone comes with immense privilege. However, one of my greatest privileges as both a teacher and clinician has been getting to hear and understand the experiences of those who represent the LGBTQ+ spectrum. In my experience, I have seen a significant overlap between those who represent neurodiversity and those who belong to the Queer community—all of whom fly in the face of cultural norms by simply being who they are. As both a person and a professional, I wholeheartedly believe three things: 1) that everyone and everything is connected, 2) that we are perennially in a state of becoming, and 3) that to accept the world as it is and to accept ourselves as we are one and the same. I believe this acceptance is the starting point for any meaningful change, be it individually, systemically, or anything in between.
Drawing from my own lived experience as a person with AuDHD, while also using evidence-based modalities such as ACT and DBT, I am committed to providing the kind of support I needed when I was younger and struggling to find my place in the world.
English
I have about 9 years of experience in the field, and have much experience working with anxiety disorders, trauma, and oppositional defiant disorder. If any of these are an issue you are looking to address, with your effort and patience, we will likely get to the route of the problem.

Hi, I'm Candice. I am a bilingual therapist with years of experience supporting children, youth, adults, and families in healing and navigating life's toughest challenges. I enjoy working with children of all ages, even very young kiddos and providing prenatal and perinatal support. As a mom of 2, I know that parenting brings huge rewards and also huge challenges. Sometimes as a parent/caregiver, our own trauma or other “stuff” can pop up and interfere with the parent-child relationship. I’m particularly interested in supporting parents/caregivers in navigating those challenges and fostering the relationship you and your child both want. I am also passionate about promoting healthy sexuality across the lifespan and supporting families in having important conversations around those topics. My approach to therapy is client-centered, strengths-based, holistic, and grounded in science. I am trained in multiple trauma-focused and evidence-based treatments, and I enjoy incorporating play and other creative techniques that support self-expression. I believe everyone deserves a space where they feel supported and not judged. I have years of experience working with heavy trauma, complex family dynamics, and intense levels of shame. Without even meeting you, I know that you are worthy of love and belonging. You are the expert on your life. You’re capable of your own healing. I am here to support you on that journey. In my free time, I enjoy being with my family, doing yoga, and playing at the beach. I call Charleston home and am deeply grateful for the natural beauty where we live. I also love to travel when I can, especially in Latin America. I consider myself a life-long learner and am always looking to challenge myself and grow.

Your unique voice & self-expression matter. They are sacred extensions of who you are as a soul and what you have to offer this world. Unfortunately, so much gets in the way between feeling & owning what’s inside us, and releasing it fully. I am passionate about helping clients bridge that gap! If you feel an urge to connect with your authentic inner self, un-suppress your realest emotions, and uncage your desires & talents — my therapy is for you. You may be, or aspire to be, a singer, speaker, teacher, or healing artist. Or you may simply wish to feel more confident speaking up in relationships, setting boundaries, feeling empowered beyond co-dependency, and taking up space with your needs and ideas.
You may also be secretly struggling with disordered eating, perfectionism, control, or a challenging mother-daughter or other close relationship. However deep your wounds, therapy is a space for healing. In my approach, healing occurs through connecting with your whole embodied self, including your physical & metaphorical voice, as we lovingly explore your identity, self-worth, thought patterns, & relational dynamics.
I'm a board certified music therapist in addition to licensed clinical therapist. I’m also a pianist, singer & songwriter. My therapeutic style is relational, holistic, creative, somatic, and trauma-informed. I aim to create a sacred space where all emotions are welcome, and there is room for the messy and magical alike! My journey into social work practice officially began during the COVID-19 pandemic, after years of feeling called to use my passion for helping youth, families, and communities in a therapeutic way. My focus is on what matters most: creating safe and supportive spaces where people feel heard, understood, and empowered. My continual clinical training provides me with up-to-date resources for working with children, teens and adults in individual, group, and family dynamics. I am passionate about providing safe spaces for LGBTQ+ youth and their families, especially those experiencing family conflict or rejection while seeking reconnection through compassion, understanding, and acceptance. I enjoy integrating psychoeducation in self-regulation, coping, conflict resolution, and resilience skills. Meeting clients where they are is my priority. My approach is not one-size-fits all, but rather a collective approach to adapt strategies to the unique needs of clients. Therapy is a process of discovery and growth regardless of age. I work closely with parents to recognize how patterns may impact their child's well-being, approaching each child with patience, empathy, and understanding. The best day to start is today.

Hello! My name is Jacqui (pronounced jack-kee) and I am extremely excited to be apart of Trusted Results. I have a background in individual, family, groups, faith and school based therapy. I enjoy walking alongside individuals as they navigate through life’s ups and downs. I always tell my clients, I’m not here to judge, I am here to assist with making the best informed decision and maintain confidence in their decision making skills. I am very matter of fact in session and see the importance of assisting each person with navigating through their own biases so they can heal, destroy bad cycles and move forward with new tools to improve their life. I have two very busy and amazing children who keep me “young.” I am currently in school working towards my Ph.D in Integrative Social Work. I have a huge passion for social justice more specifically centered around those who are incarcerated or returning citizens. When I grow up, I hope to create programs and systems to reduce recidivism especially in South Carolina and eliminate the stigma that comes along with being an incarcerated or formerly incarcerated person. I could go on and on but, that’s the short version. I am an active member of my church community. When I have free time I like to cuddle up on a comfy couch with my favorite blanket and DO NOTHING and when I want to live on the wild side, I turn on the tv and watch Netflix lol. I would absolutely love the opportunity to assist you in any capacity I am able, to navigate through through your life’s journey. So come on , exhale , bring tissue and have a seat. You deserve it and most importantly you’re worth it.

Hi, I’m Janet Frederick (she/her), a therapist here at Trusted Results. Maybe past experiences are still affecting you, or you feel stuck in patterns you want to change. Whatever brings you to therapy, you don’t have to navigate it alone. I work with adolescents, adults, families, and couples to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can better understand your emotions, strengthen relationships, and develop practical tools for everyday life. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, or unsure of how to move forward, and together we focus on building greater clarity, confidence, and emotional balance. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and practical. I believe insight in session is important, but that meaningful change also happens through practicing tools and skills outside of therapy. I incorporate evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, IFS, mindfulness, somatic work, trauma-informed care, and Gottman Method techniques to help clients improve emotional regulation, communication, and connection. When working with adolescents, I also support parents in strengthening understanding and communication at home. My goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and empowered as you move toward healing and growth.

Hi, I’m Dr. Lee (she/her), a Licensed Psychologist and Therapist at Trusted Results. I earned my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University at Buffalo, and I’ve always been passionate about helping people create lasting, meaningful change in their lives. My approach is rooted in transformational counseling—which goes beyond symptom relief to help clients explore deeper patterns, reconnect with their inner strengths, and live more authentic, fulfilling lives. I also draw from solution-focused and empowerment-based practices, helping people recognize what’s already working and build from there. I got into this field because I believe in the human capacity for growth. I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it can be when someone feels supported, seen, and encouraged to step into their full potential—and I feel honored to walk alongside people in that process. Outside the therapy room, I love spending time outdoors, whether I’m dock diving with my dog or playing tennis. I try to bring that same energy—of joy, movement, and presence—into the work I do every day. If you're looking for a supportive, empowering space to grow and heal, I’d be honored to work with you.
