Margaret Simpson holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies and a Master of Social Work from Winthrop University. She has developed a strong foundation in child development and program coordination through her work as a swim lesson instructor, summer camp counselor, and afterschool counselor.

She also interned with the York County Office of Veterans Affairs, where she specialized in case management and supported veterans in accessing essential services.
Margaret currently serves as a social worker with York County First Steps. In her role, she leads the Countdown to Kindergarten program, manages outreach efforts, and oversees social media engagement. Her work emphasizes macro-level social work practice, with a focus on strengthening community resources and improving access to early childhood support services.
