Leigh Arden Beck APRN

Hi, I’m Leigh Arden, APRN, CPNP! I am a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized care to children, adolescents, and their families. With more than 20 years of experience in pediatric health care, including over five years of experience focused on pediatric mental health, I bring a comprehensive understanding of the connection between mental and physical health to the care and medication management I provide.

I believe meaningful health care begins with listening. I take the time to understand each child’s unique experiences, strengths, and challenges so that families feel heard, supported, and confident in the care approach we develop together. My approach to psychiatric medication management is thoughtful and collaborative, with each plan of care tailored to the child’s individual needs and desired outcomes. By considering medication as part of the overall treatment plan, I aim to support their well-being and help them thrive at home, at school, and in their community.

I believe every child deserves a champion – someone who listens to them, believes in them, encourages them, and helps them recognize their strengths. I strive to be an advocate and cheerleader for every patient I have the privilege of caring for.

Originally from a small town outside of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion and Kinesiology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I went on to earn both my Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina.

I am licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in South Carolina and nationally certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.

I call Mount Pleasant home, where I enjoy spending time with my son and our Goldendoodle, Ziggy. Outside of work, I love traveling, spending time at the beach, and listening to music, especially at live events. I also enjoy outdoor adventures, particularly those that involve collecting unique seashells, as well as watching and attending sporting events. I never miss an opportunity to cheer on the Carolina Panthers!
