Chava Raymes LMFT

Hi there,

My name is Chava Raymes (she/her). I primarily work with children, teens, families, and older adults.

With children, I take a Child Centered Play Therapy approach with most of my child clients. Children know instinctively what they need to play to process what is or has happened to them. It doesn’t usually look the same as adult talk therapy, but it allows children to engage in therapy in an age appropriate way. With teen and adult clients, my approach is person centered and guided by Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Collaborative Therapy.

I bring a warm and humorous approach to therapy that has been said to make therapy feel safe and accessible. I also provide experiential therapy. This means my clients engage with hands on activities in session including art, listening to music, guided meditations, and more. I have found this to be a really effective way to help clients dealing with trauma, grief, and learning how to regulate intense emotions.
